Which makers use bearings for their flippers instead of washers. Only interested in NON-assisted knives. Thanks
Rich

Zero tolerance has quite a few bearing flippers. ZT 0804cf, 0452cf just name a few.

Most of them.
Only a few making flippers w\o bearings, like Hogue.

Lol this question is weird cause the majority of flippers use bearings. The question should be asked which flippers use washers. One example is the Kershaw skyline uses pb washers. (new skyline xl failure from bladeHQ uses nylon washers lol).

The skyline line are not consistent flippers tho sadly.

Hinderer's are washer flippers. They also are not consistent flippers and use nylon washers.

Anyway, naming off bearing flippers would be endless cause almost every flipper is on bearings.

OK, thanks. I am only familiar with the Kershaw Skyline and Chill and a couple CRKTs. All use washers, including the Buck Vantage. I'll look around further.

You must be very new to knives. Are you looking for low cost budget stuff or any price? Do you have any other requirements (blade size, blade geometry, Tactical, edc, slicer, etc)?

Lots of newer Kizer knives use ikbs bearing pivots. They're probably the best bang for your buck on the market right now, too.

Not new to knives; have been collecting, customizing, making them for over 65 years. Have about 400 now; from RRs to ZTs.
Was just asking a question. I'm more familiar with thumbstuds, linerlocks and AOs or traditionals.

I like how you took the high road. If you want to check out some nice bearing flippers, I would be happy to send you a few to examine before you make a purchase. I was "new to knives" not long ago, but I have been fortunate to meet some great people on bladeforums who helped teach me, instead of putting me down.

Thanks for the offer, but I'd rather just look around at various sites and see what's out there. At my age, just glad to be taking any road :) Forgot to mention SAKs; never leave home without my SAK Tinker.
Thanks again.

I understand, if you want to try a good bearing flipper for a reasonable price, try the unassisted zt's, Reate, or WE. Great flippers for the price.

Rich,

What blade length, handle material, steel are you interested in trying? And the purpose of the knife? If i know a little more I can make more accurate recommendations.

Will look at those and the Kizer. Problem is many dealers don't list the type of pivot washer/bearing in their description; none the less, I will keep looking until I find one I like. Thanks all of you for your suggestions and comments.

Kizers are on super sale until tomorrow at bladehq and knifecenter. I recommend the kizer envoy. Titanium framelock, s35vn steel, ikbs bearing pivot for under $100 right now. Even not on sale still under $150. Best of luck, take care.

I would like to recommend the Kizer Dukes. I have the red/black G10 version. I love how it looks and it is the best flipper out of every one I own.
