Bearing Pivot

Hi JDM,

Just to remove any confusion, RJ Martin does not use the IKBS system.

Todd Begg uses IKBS. My little Gent's Glimpse has it. I love it.

If you want the most awesome flipper, get an RJ Martin. His system IS the cat's meow, as far as flipper goes. RJ does NOT use IKBS, like Les said. He uses his own system.

funny you guys would only mention that RJ doesn't use ikbs when neither does darrel. He used too, but sure as heck doesn't anymore-they both use their own bearing systems currently

i though he was just asking about who uses a bearing system, and not that he wanted IKBS strictly-i misunderstood and apologize for any confusion

have you seen the Q-36 vid on YouTube?- it sure is one heck of a flipper

Just curious is? "Severedtongue" going to enlighten us as to the weakness in the IKBS bearing system he speaks of with such "One line conviction". How many IKBS have you built, used to complain of this weakness you spout of.

Other than the exposed bearings in the race which could cause problems should it encounter such things as dirt, mud, sand etc. But that is a problem with all folders minus the Hawk MUDD knife which has a dust cover of sorts over the bearing area? ( I have never seen one up close).

Or a Jerry McClure jeweled pivot which has no washers, bearings yet has synthetic sapphires which the blade glides on....it is self cleaning as well.

So if you want a flipper with the power of a rocket that is stable in flight and rock solid in the lock-up check out a IKBS bearing system from solid makers using it and you cannot go wrong.

I could go on but it surely will not make a difference, but one difference I just made and can was to put serveredthumbs on ignore.;)

Thanks
Spencer

Mike Draper uses bearings in his knives IIRC, I do know he has used Jerry McClure's jeweled pivot in some of his knives, I have a JMAC flipper it is supersmooth.
