Hi all,
I recently commisioned Roger Gale of Bearpaw Crafts to make a custom sheath for each of two different Custom Fixed Blade knives. I chose him after seeing an example of his leatherwork along with a knife he had made and was selling on Ebay. We corresponded by email, decided upon one sheaths' design, and I gave him carte blance do what he wanted to on the other one within certain parameters. I have to tell you, his work turned out unbelievably well! The sheaths both fit like the "proverbial glove", are a thing of beauty to behold and absolutely exceeded my expectations. I thought his work was highly underated at what he charged, so told him what I was doing, and sent in a bit more when I paid the bill. He cheerfully refunded the overage. I can only assume that he is a man of his word, and when he tells you the price, that is THE PRICE... even if you WANT to pay more. I like to give credit where credit is due, so I thought I would mention him on this Forum.
Roger is at: Bearpaw@lakenet.com www.geocities.com/thetropics/shores/2786
I will try to post a picture, but I have not done this before in this format, so it might not take. If not, I will gladly email the same picture to anyone interested. I am at BVSFoods@gateway.net
Regards,
Brian
