Beat that SOB!

Nice. I've been trying to hold out for the CG, but I'm getting weaker by the pic...

Some more today. I hiked out to our local artesian well and found a tree downed by a beaver. Just out hiking so no saw or hawk in my pack but I did have my SOB on my belt! I had to baton off two long limbs so I could roll the main trunk of the tree away from the well.

The bleeding well really looks like it came from the newest The Evil Dead movie

That being said, I love pic 7

Artesian wells are so cool! That SOB took care of that tree, no problem. Great pictures! Keep them coming.

The original Badger is my favorite Busse blade but I've grown fond of thinner stock as I get older. That's why I'm into the SOB! Great belt knife.

Great Pic's & a great knife.
Really like the thinner blade & deep belly.
Very versatile knife.

Cleared out the other downed tree trunk that was set back from the other one. It had fallen onto a honeysuckle and was suspended on it. I sawed off the HS at each base and it and the downed tree trunk all hit the ground. I cut some buck-thorn out as well. Kinda of cleared the immediate area of invasive species and beaver damage.

The wood chips that beaver made were huge!

Finished. This will be the first year any bright direct sunlight hits this little spot.

Gets really overgrown in summer and very hard to find if you don't know where the entrance is.

Busse Mean Street. I replace the pipes after they rot out or if someone takes them for scrap $$ metal :thumbdn: This well is over 100 years old. It's had a concrete liner put in so it should last many more years.

I spent a few days last fall clearing the trail in there of dead fall and cutting honeysuckle that was choking the trail. Cut a 10 foot wide trail into it.
When I cut honeysuckle here, I have to drag in down the entrance trail about 300 feet and stack it there. I bundle it with rope and drag each bundle out then leave it for the fall/winter burns the county does.

Nice place even when it's 10F.
