Beater Busse NO-E for sale

I'll check on the USPS Global deal with the large envelope, but should I list the contents as "used hand tool" or something like "used garden tool" or basically anything BUT a knife, right?? And also the declared value should be like $20 or $25 max, right?? I guess if the declared value is only that much, then it is only insured for that amount, huh? Sorry for all the questions , but this is the first overseas deal I've done. Any and all advice is very, much appreciated. Thanks, Jack ;)

You do not want to lie about what it is but also you would not want to list it as a knife.A knife is a hand tool and it is used.I would list it like this
Used busse hand tool
Value 25.00 because as far as I know USPS global priority can not be insured so the low value wouls be just to help keep it from being stolen and in some countries it helps the buyer have less duties to pay.

BTW overseas deals are not as hard as it seems.Once you do the first one they are just as easy as any other.
If you go with Global Priority just go to the PO and ask for a large global priority envelope and a customs tag, also give them the address and ask if Global priority is avalible for that country.

Thanks for the input guys, one more question though, What about payment?? In other words, what type of payment coming from another country is best?? The buyer says he can Western Union me the funds or is there any better way?? Thanks again

That is up to you,I myself wouldn't as a general rule do anything but Pay Pal or if I thought I could really trust the person I was dealing with a international money order.

I did some more research on the USPS site, and for shipping to Croatia found the following options that are not near as expensive as Global Express Guaranteed (GXG):
- Global Express Mail (EMS) - 2 lb. package insured for $300 = $23.65
- Economy Mail Parcel Post - 2 lb. package insured for $300 = $22.85
- Global Priority Mail (GPM) - not available

For Global Express Mail (EMS), if the weight goes over 2 lbs. the extra cost for up to 3 lbs. is $3.30. The Parcel Post rate covers up to 5 lbs.

I would think payment thru Western Union would be safe, but I have not had any experience with this.
