Hey guys,
Got a hold of an AUS-8 Delica, and let me tell you, it's had a rough life. Looks like the tip snapped off and was ground down. Then the handle was ground off to match the shorter blade.
No foolin', this ain't a pretty, it's a beater!
On the other hand, the lock, pivot and clip are all still strong and tight. So mechanically, I guess, the knife is in great shape.
Here's the pictures, next to a new D3:
