I've got to fund a purchase quickly so I am selling some beaters/parts knives for a very cheap price. For sale are an Emerson Horseman, Benchmade 530, and Cold Steel Mini Tuff Lite.

Emerson Horseman

This knife has been previously customized. A 9mm case head has replaced the thumbdisk, blue titanium standoffs have replaced the backspacer and an aftermarket carbon fiber pocket clip has been added. I do not have the original parts, but Emerson will send you a replacement thumbdisk at no charge. Neither aftermarket part is loose or has any issues - pocket clip tension is tight and there is some wear on the 9mm case head thumbdisk. Knife came to me with an uneven gloss finish, done to the original black coated finish, so I refinished it in a rough satin with 600 grit which is mostly even but by no means perfect. Edge is quite dull and needs sharpening. Lockup is early, there is a tiny amount of blade play, but the lock disengages easily. I have done light to medium spinewhacks to ascertain that the lockup is strong and the lock has not failed. Edge itself has no chips but is quite dull. Pivot and some body screws have been refinished in satin. The G10 has seen better days. It is worn and has been reshaped to allow for easier access to the thumbdisk. Action is smooth and even and lockup is positive.

Benchmade 530

This knife is a parts knife. This was my experiment knife from some years ago. Blade has been cut down and reshaped to a 1.8 inch wharncliffe, and had an aggressive cracked ice finish put on. Care was taken to not affect the heat treat of the steel. The thumbstud assembly has been reshaped to be right-hand only and the opposite side has been jeweled and the thumbstud itself cut down to a lower profile. Liners and body screws have slight corrosion. Axis "disk" has been acid washed to remove reflectivity, as shown in the photos, as was the pivot and pivot screw. Slight blade play, smooth deployment. Edge is still serviceable but could use a fresh sharpening. Pocket clip has been misplaced.

Note: Benchmade will replace parts for a fee. A new blade will cost $30 and they will replace hardware and thumbstuds, although they may charge more considering the extent of the modifications done to this knife.

Mini Tuff Lite

I modified this knife for my own preferences - I dremeled the plastic so that an annoying bump would not protrude when the knife was clipped to a pocket. Wear and scratches on blade, handles, pocket clip. Superficial corrosion on blade. Lockup extremely strong. Edge will still shave hair.
