Sal,
I know this has been mentioned, but will the black clips on the new Delica fit my Native?
My new Lt. decided he didn't like the way the silver clip looked on my midnight navy blue uniform and told me to take it off. Funny, he doesn't seem to be bothered by the big gold shield, brass name tag, and all the silver snaps on the sam browne. (could he be hoplophobic?) Now I cannot carry my favorite lefty blade. Still got a 1993 endura that is still cutting well and the black clip is uniform correct. (didn't you tell someone at one time that zytel handle knives should be replaced every 2-3 years as they are not as durable as steel? I have abused my Endura and have no propblems.)

Maybe you could get a can of flat black model spray paint. Spray it with that. Most places that sell models have the paint, and its only a few bucks a can. Just an idea if ya don't have any extra clips.

Ic609 - Haven't ever heard of anyone ever "using up" a FRN (Fiberglass reinforced Nylon) handle. They won't hold up to heat or cold like steel, but they will take a lot of banging around without difficulty.

The Delica clip will fit the Native,(but not the other way around), the threading is not as deep because the Native is thicker. So it woun't be aw secure a bond. We shoud have Black Native Clips very shorty. You can also slip a piece of black "shrink tubing" from the local hardware store. Heat it and it will shrink around the clip.

lc609 -- Another solution for making your present clip black is Plasti Dip, a flexible rubber coating sold in larger hardware stores. (Home Depot carries it.) I just used it on the clip from a Gigand Guardian to improve its grip when used IWB. I'll post a separate message in the general forum w/more info on this stuff.
