Beautiful 110

It's just a little too beautiful for me.

I'm more into plain knives with just a little fancy added.........that one is all fancy.

Seems the starting price is roughly where the highest bidder woukd end up at.

I have one I won a year or so ago and paid a bit more than half that asking price which was a great deal. Still worth the sellers asking price in my opinion.

Yeah.......the Damascus and the Paua clash.

If it had a plain black blade it would look good........as is, it just looks busy and ugly.

It's a nice display piece. I wonder whose name is engraved on the display case. Perhaps that means something.

The name engraved into the display case is Jeff Legerton the designer of the knife.
Thank you. Did some looking around. He has been with Buck for 30+ years, many in the Custom Shop. Here are more pics I found. Really nice work. The more I look, the more I like. Still out of my price range, but...

I wish you could... not in the past ten years

Maybe you wish that you could.......I remember you said you don't have access to e-Bay.

I was being conservative with the three knives for the price of this one. The $600 is a huge chunk of money......I could easily find five or more nice old collectible Bucks for $600 by cherry picking e-Bay.

All it takes is time and I have plenty. And the old ones will go up in value.

Since this one is worth about $350-$400.......hell will be freezing over before this unfortunate buyer accrues any gain in value.

:D

Not all knives are bought with appreciation in mind. Sometimes it is just because it is something the buyer finds exceptionally nice. The materials used in this knife does in my opinion
substantiate the price although maybe not to all. After all, cars don't generally appreciate. Most people own a car that they like even though they know it will be worth much less the longer they own it. You can also say that about boats, 4 wheelers, and many other items that are purchased without a care of future value.

I do fall into this line of thinking myself. I know I'll probably never even sell one of my knives. I buy them for my enjoyment. I can say the price on this one is high, but I've gone down this road on occasion and with no regrets.

I’ve always had “access” to eBay but now I have my own too. Your view of collectible bucks must be very different to mine then :)

I would pay similar to your opinion 400$ but I hate engraved bolsters
