Beautiful 110

Not all knives are bought with appreciation in mind. Sometimes it is just because it is something the buyer finds exceptionally nice. The materials used in this knife does in my opinion
substantiate the price although maybe not to all. After all, cars don't generally appreciate. Most people own a car that they like even though they know it will be worth much less the longer they own it. You can also say that about boats, 4 wheelers, and many other items that are purchased without a care of future value.

I hear you on this, everybody likes a bargain but as you said if somebody wants it because it’s exceptionally nice.. I paid substantially more than this price for a 110 last week and some people may think I’m crazy but I wanted it.

I’ve always had “access” to eBay but now I have my own too. Your view of collectible bucks must be very different to mine then :)

I would pay similar to your opinion 400$ but I hate engraved bolsters

I seek out beloved working knives in mint condition......not baubles.

Such as I seek are rare and take work to find and buy......baubles seem to be commonly available if you want to pay the price.

It just depends on what you like. I like some of the pretties, but I'm more into the working knife in fine condition........thus rare and desirable.

Collectors vary about as much as the Buck 110. That is what makes the hobby fun.

We have interests in knives in common, but things get different after that.

And that’s where we differ :) baubles are all I can enjoy here in the UK

While looking up information on another knife today I came across this knife in the 2010 Dealer Catalog and the suggested retail price was $1050. If the seller actually paid suggested retail in 2010, that is quite a loss reselling 9 years later.:(

And you'd better buy it smart and cheap or you're probably gonna lose a lot of money.

As has been said, losing money is no problem if you're buying a beautiful thing that gives you joy.

We all love different things.

I thank God that I can carry a knife and a gun every day as a right.

I would feel lost and less than human without them.

America........what a country!

:D

not all places in america though....

dont want to tread into politics but a fact check was needed here......

It's funny to me if that was a V1-V1 110 with a original MSRP of $16.00 $600.00 or more would be considered a bargain. And 99% of buyers would never consider actually using it..

I get asked all the time what a 110 is worth
Or what they should pay for one
I tell all never buy one because it will go up in value like guns will
User or display queen value is determined by demand for it
I think babbles are under priced for the most part and I have been known to pay to much for one... but I wanted it badly at the time
As said we all like bucks for different reasons
And I like the trophy babbles my self don’t like the scroll work on that one but I have it with out the engraving
