Hello everyone,
I have a knife up for grabs that I thought I would never put up for sale. But, we all know how it goes. Out with the old and in with the new.
First, I have to say I absolutely love this knife. If you can believe it, Ive owned 24 Medford knives. Eight of them being Marauders. Hands down this is the BEST Marauder I have owned. It took seven of them to find this GEM. Diamond in the rough if you will. I purchased this knife new from the Hollow Grind back in February of this year. Ive carried it, used it, shown it off to friends and cared for it very well. Keeping the blade oiled to prevent rust and cleaning out the inside of the frame - almost weekly.
As everyone knows Greg has a very particular warranty policy. This knife still carries a 100% intact manufacture warranty from Greg. No bolt has been adjusted or removed in any way on this knife.
As previously mentioned above, I have owned many of Gregs knives. Ive been the first owner of most. Ive had some Medford's with extreme lock stick all the way to blade rubbing the frame (new from the shop). I can honestly say this is the smoothest, most superb Medford knife thats made its way into my hands. Zero lock stick, Zero blade play, and detent is perfect. The swing on this knife is smooth all the way from open until lock (none of that loose, tight, loose binding feeling). The blade will drop free when the lock bar is disengaged, fast too!
If you've been holding out for that one Medford knife you have always wanted, believe me, this is it! The vulcan finish is unlike one I have seen. In the sun it has a beautiful yellow/orange glow throughout. And the subtle flamed treatment on the handles is amazing. As for the condition of the knife - Yes it has been used, but its still in great shape. The edge of the blade does not have any dings or chips. The blade itself does not have any scratches. However, the handles do show some wear, but nothing major.
The lock-up has setting in nicely to around 30% and the blade is centered perfectly between the handles. Honestly, I could go on and on about how great this knife is but I know once you get it in your hands your be speechless! This is the newest version of the Marauder with handle screws being on both sides, two screw pocket clip and lock bar relief cut on the outside.
The sale of this knife will include: white Medford cardboard box, black hard case, Gregs card, warranty paper and bubble wrap.
This is THE Marauder configuration to have - Tanto, Vulcan D2 and flamed handles. You absolutely cant go wrong!
