Let me first thank Jeepnut 22 for letting go of these two knives. Then I can't say enough about the amazing work Ban did on them. If Tom Krein is the Arkansas Grind Monkey, then Ban is the California Grind Artist. I had him put a clip point on KAAK's old beater FSH, full height convex grind to a zero edge, and he switched the slabs Green Linen to match the AD. I have a lot of pics, but they really don't do it justice.

Congrats to you on that FSH. Ban did one heck of a job there. Of course, he ALWAYS does awesome. I don't think I have ever seen a piece he did that I didn't immediately love.:thumbup:

Well, I have a few knives now, but THIS one made me grin like no other when I unwrapped the package.

Never used it before. Maybe I could find another knife that is 0.10" thick just behind the edge as an example of the 'before'. I just got the #67 'Ganza FSH, but it has a more normal edge profile.
 
Ok first off is....The finish on that one is screaming sweet! The pictures you took really show off the satin and the convex. And the clip....oh very well done Ban.

Now....where did you get standard green linen slabs? They are std correct? I haven't seen a Fusion set of standard green slabs since the first release of the FSHs.
 
The FSH is striking! Jerry you need to find out what it would take to get Ban to relocate to OH!

Ban just happened to have those available; I think they came off an FBM. Yes, standard.
 
Totally awesome.

Ban, could you explain the steps you took on the finish. I'm about to start a new stripping project; my previous were just with Scotchbrite hand drill attachments. You're using a belt grinder I assume? What grits, etc.??
