Munk.... Nice Marlin. It is difficult to choose. Now for that Mak-90. From one AK to another, right? ;)

and your words are even more true than you know, as I'm picking up a prepaid AK this summer.

From what I understand the fit and finish on the Mak is second to none. It's also made of a little heavier gauge steel and a heavier barrel. I think.

I thought the best AK ever made was a Bura in 18" ;)
We are in HI's Cantina.... stay on topic. ;) We're discussing the wrong AK.

The Polytech commands among the highest price. Polytech was made by Norinco to Poly's specs. I believe all chinese have thicker walls than the Eastern European.

The NMH 91 and the Mak are considered better then many. Kinda wierd when I think back on how i laughed at them when they came out.

But if I had everthing in my yard I'd ever laughed at I'd be rich and very serious.

Semper fi, you ever bike out to Montana, stop by.

I figured you for Sturgis, but I don't guess much. Ex Marines who ride Harleys without helmets and have read Hawkings and Twain are not figured.

"Another suddenly popular 12 inc 14 ounce AK "

Popularity spurred, no doubt, by folks' desire to thumb their nose at a certain duck who claims, "12 inches ain't no K". Or it could be because the 12" AK is a great small khukuri, handy and hardworking. I suspect it's a little of both. Hope to see the moon go full again no more than twice before I'm home sending a check for a "special 12" AK" living under Uncle's bed with the dust bunnies.:D

What happened to the GTF, GTC, etc.?

I miss those...

No munk, I can confidently say the 12 inch Siru is not there... :)

Well done! I was going to jump on that one (well, not literally) but you were faster.
