Beauty of Old, Worn Knives

Only three-generation knife from my family that I own. An Ulster Old Timer, it was originally my Grandfather’s, who gave it to my Dad in the late 60’s, who passed it on to me about 15 years ago. Still has great action, I do carry it some.

I wish I had a pocket knife carried by my grandfather and dad, very cool!

Pre WWII Keen Kutter junior cattle knife. Looks to me like an earlier owner had an electrical discharge hit the clip main, leaving a divot. Still works fine.

Used my knife to jump the starter when the solenoid was bad on my old Dodge.
Or any other old car.
Common use.
Most of my pocket knives look like that then. ...50+ years.

...father in law's WW2 issue knife from the Royal Air Force.........post war forces issue.............my father's gardening knife.

Graceful and wonderful patinas.......if only they could atlk and tell stories around the camp fire
