Great knife maker but for what I hear not doing much work anymore but I do not know. His WSK's command high dollars as for the rest of his stuff normal custom fee's
I believe it's a similar breed to the cane corso but is relatively modern and was bred by a couple of brothers from Argentina to be a dangerous game hunting dog over several decades. The dogo was bred specifically to have a white coat. J's pet seems to be exceptional.
I like the look of the dog that is for sure. My first pb was a Carver/Ruffian which was bred as a catch dog down south. Farmers and ranchers would rent the dogs out or have them as pets to catch bulls and cows etc. Mine was just a pet but the lineage could be proven with the documentation I had. There was another fella that lived behind my brother and he raised bullies and then AmStaffs for about 60+ yrs. Ormsby was his name and his dogs went for big bucks. He knew all the old timers. Anyways I love these dogs and don't think I would own any other breed. The dog of velvet and steel. Excellant dogs all around. keepem sharp
The Breed is a Dogo Argentino. And yes Jose is correct they where breed by two brothers in Argentina for boars and puma along. My dog is named Jack and he will catch a hog flush pheasnts and track blood trails. He even has caught a few deer. He is a freak about hunting. He sleeps with my kids and is rock stable. He just turned five. He weights 96 pounds . Thanks for the kind words.
