Becker BK-2 Sheath & Tek-Lok

Reading the past postings here I get the impression I'm one of the few that actually likes the BK-2 sheath. Well, the lower portion of it, anyway. I'm looking for something to replace the hanger portion of the sheath and I'm wondering if the Tek-Lok clips will fit the grommet holes. Anyone have any experience with this?

Or, are there other alternatives? While I like the concept of the Tek-Lok I'm open to other suggestions. Perhaps someone who makes a custom Kydex hanger that fits the factory BK-2 sheath? I've got a Kydex sheath with hanger from Azwelke for my BK-7 and it is great (a gratuitous plug for Azwelke's work, btw ;)), but I don't think I need a completely new sheath system, just a hanger.

Thanks in advance

There are a few of us that are fond of the stock sheath. I like mine, but then I added a bunch of ridiculous mods to it.

I installed a large tek-lok on my BK2 sheath a week ago. LOVE IT!!
Best upgrade you can do for your BK2!
Really, before getting micarta, or stripping the finish, or even adding a lanyard, add a tek-lok first!
Makes carrying the knife so much better!

I just cut the long strap down to the width of the belt I always wear. you have to drill out the three rivets to get the long strap off, cut the strap to the needed size and reattach with three small screws with nyloc nuts. it only cost me for the nuts and bolts...$1.50 or so.

It's just a little 4 or 5" cheesey nylon knife pouch tied on with paracord. It holds a couple of John Waynes' (large andsmall), the allen wrench, 6 pieces of tinder quick , a naked firesteel and a piece of sawsall blade. There is a belt loop on the back in case I remove the paracord for use. I burned some holes and added the paracord tie to help keep it closed. I didn't want a big pouch.

it's a teklok, of course they fit :)

i did a post about May 2010 about it, with some crappy pictures.

here's a picture:

Bladite, does that carry well horizontally? I kinda want to do that to mine, but it seems like the 2 might be a bit heavy for that. I do carry my Eskabar that way though, and love it!

You can, if you like a higher ride, fold over the belt loop and lash it. I've seen people use a zip tie as well.

Or, you could fab your own drop leg sheath w/swivel, for all day working comfort, like i did.

I made my own large D-ring & used a double snap belt keeper. It moves with you. If you don't like the floppy top/nylon portion of the sheath, just drill out the rivets & add some kydex in there, then get some Chicago screws to replace the rivets. Most people hate the floppy top part of sheath.
