I have one Estwing, it is a beast!
I may have to look at buying other versions now!
LOL!
i have 5 of the leather handled stack double bit for throwing axes. for some reason i ordered the plastic handles, which were much cheaper, and got the premium leather instead. they're doing good.
if someone had a hankering, the double bits would be tweaked into a good war hawk
but CRKT makes that already too, for a good price
old thought in software engineering, when a company wants to do a "new thing", like say, credit card transactions, rolling your own can be stupid and time consuming. find the experts, get them to work with/for you, and do the thing. so many other companies have designs and process.
for a proper Becker field axe... a lot of choices, like Condor, to do a branded custom, not unlike what has been done with a dozen other similar projects. sometimes, a thing has been done so much, that doing it yourself, has limited value or returns on investment.
still wish Ethan had done a Wharncliffe/Sheepsfoot, to round out all the drop points and sweeps and persian styles. alas
