Becker BK-7

The BK-7 was designed as an alternate to the traditional military Ka-Bar. It is a reliable, sharp, heavy duty knife. They go for 2 to 3 times what your source is asking. You won't get stuck with them if you buy more than one. If he has any other BK knives, they are all gold around here.

I'm also incredibly interested in a BK-7 if they have extras! Just email me at luke at enterlife.net if you find extras!

what is so good about a bk7 well they are high carbon steel strong good blade shape hold an edge well, will take out all the abuse you can manage, a knife i would carry anywhere i have been and that is multiple continents and terain, weather and not feel under knived.

The BK-7 wasn't rare at all when they were in production. It gained a solid following because it was a great knife and it only cost about $50. I've gotten alot of use out of mine and plan to continue using it. By the time this one wears out they will be back in production. I'm planning to make up a set of Micarta scales for it eventually. That might be the site's way of telling you they're out of stock.

I tried several blades from several brands, and NO luck. Plus, no e-mail, no phone number, no physical addy. HhMmm, kinda odd methinks! And the contact link shoots to "Oregon knife Shop" with NO mention of Afterknife.com??

There are still quite a few sites around that still list these at retail prices, but I think without exception they are not in fact in stock. Lots of drop shippers mainly I think. The last one of these I sold on ebay went for $140. I seriously doubt anyone selling them for $50 would have any left in stock.

I recently bought a user from a forum member for my own use for $75 and I considered that a good deal.

I bet longbeachguy is right. Drop shippers who don't realize they are out of stock at their suppliers.

I found http://www.oregonknifeshop.com/index.html who is either the new name of the old afterknife.com or the outfit that bought out his stock when he went under.

It's good to searh for them, but hope fades fast, so many months after we realized it's over.

I still have an original pre-ordered Camillus CUDA Maxx bowie sitting in the box in the plastic in the zippered pouch. Becker may rise again, but I don't know about the Maxx. :(

If you look closely, they don't call it a Becker BK-7, it's called a Camillus BK-7 and if you look at the sand colored BK-91, it's not a BK-9, it's a BK-7. Probably lots of other errors as well, including availability and price.....

I sure won't be giving mine up. I love how it feels in the hand with the solid micarta scales. Especially when I whack somethin with it. :D

It's my understanding that Becker is out of business. However, at a local sporting goods store they have a BK-7 for $49.95. Is this a good deal and is the BK-7 a decent knife?

If they have multiples, give me a shout. I kind of wish I'd picked one up to do a project knife.

Of course, if you want to buy and sell any multiples for profit, that's cool too. You'll get a free knife that way. And then some.
