Becker BK series G-10 Scales?

Have you ever used a textured G10 handle, like what comes on an ESEE? It's a great material, and when it's wet, I'd rather have G10 than micarta. I looooooove micarta, don't get me wrong. It's great stuff, but can get pretty slimy if conditions stay wet.

Due to developing costs, it would not be practical to do a few of the
handles. I have considered doing some for the Becker line but I still don't
have an idea if there is enough demand to make it worth the development
costs. I will be doing some research and there is the possibility that we
may start doing them. I would appreciate any input from the guys on the
forum. You may want to do a post on the forum and ask the guys to express
their thoughts about us doing them and any ideas about what features they
would like to see incorporated into the handles.

If you do a form post, please send me the link so I can follow it.

So bottom line is, if you'd like to possibly get some of the Knife Connection's excellent G-10, make sure you drop them a line saying so, and then post here what you'd like to see them do a run of.
 
The tweeners or the necker sized BK's would probably be easiest not as many contours (or as drastic) as the full sized Beckers. Wish I had some cash for some custom work right now :/ ...

Edit: Idea here, maybe a set like the old Cam' era micarta, its a lot less 3D'ey

I would be interested in a set for sure. Would starting a new thread trying to gauge the interest from others be the way to go or are you just going to send them a link to this thread?

I sent him a link to this thread, since many who had expressed interest in the G-10 had already posted here. Maybe I should start a new one for TKC scales.

I think you should start with scales for the larger Beckers. IIRC the Micarta scales for all the larger ones (BK2,BK7,BK9)are the same ?
So you would cover multiple knives with one set of scales.
 
I would love to see some orange G10 for the BK-11. I'd probably buy several sets for my 11s.

Please do, after looking at the scales you offer for the ESSE line of knives I couldn't tell you which I would want most for my Beckers but I can say that I would be ordering multiple sets. I also agree with what C_Becker said by starting with the large knife scales as they would fit multiple series of knives with one design.

Can you imagine how awesome some of these tigerstriped scales would be on a Becker?

For my money, I'd love some full-sized and tweener scales in G-10. The green and black; the orange and black tigerstripe, and the 2x2 red and black are my favorites.

Keep the Becker ergos as close as possible. Maybe offer various liner colors as add ons with the scales?

In on this for sure! If not for the full line at least more universal larger scales.
