used a old camera bag and stitched on the BF patch over camera log, contents are from SOL & Ritter kit.I need to add some para cord & LED light....:D

Lucky guy! I really like those BK-1's. By the time I tried to pick one up, I was SOL.

Oh well,

Cool stuff man, that's a lot of gear in a little package. I've gotta get me a brute someday. Why on earth did kabar decide not to reproduce the brute, of all the becker designs???

The Brute has a awesome design,I love it ,it has workhorse written all over it.....I have a BK11 to add to it but I ran outta room; LOL

not Kabar ,Ethan Becker said The brute and Mechax were not big sellers I believe? I wish I had 2 more Brute,I found a Mechax but not sure if it is my flavor....

I have a BK-9 and a Machax but I have TWO Brutes and would buy a third in a heart beat. I really diasgree (respectfully) with Ethan on this one. There is a reason they are selling for twice the price of the Bk-9s in the aftermarket. They are a great design and have a the unique "wow" factor. The anvil on the back of the blade is great for hammering with and makes a useful handle when you are trying to remove bark from a tree. I'm thinking of moding one of mine to include a penetrator style sharpended "swedge". I think K-Bar is missing a real opportunity by not bringing the Brute back- my all time favorite big knife.

Nice set up as always Tony! Where did you get the pouch from???

Interesting. I have never tried that. I use the anvil all the time to hit with the piece of wood I'm using to baton with. I like the fact that there is that beefy section on the blade that I can hit. Really slices through the wood.

tthe bag is a old camera bag fromTarget or wal-mart...o yes it will get a work out.....I wish I could find one more atleast....the BK1 is a Excellent design

TTD, Cool rig, I've always wanted a Brute myself... Is that set-up comfortable to wear?

Thats a good lookin kit. Been a lot of those around lately!

Like the setup. I have the Hartsook, it is a cool little knife. I just wish it were a little bigger and the sheath a little smaller.

Those Brutes are awesome. I Becker back in business? Sounds like K-Bar replaced Camillus.
