Ok, so i modded my Becker knives. I have a BK2 and a BK7, Both with Micarta Scales and Skystorm leather works Hawk belt sheaths. These are my favorite knives and I get alot of use out of them, esspecially my BK2. My question is, The BK13 that comes with the BK7 would look fantastic with some sort of scales on it. Anyone know where I can buy any or who makes them? I'm not skilled with wood or otherwise i would make them myself. Any info would be great!

I know Cam and a few others have made scales for their own 13's, but I don't know of anyone offering them for sale. You might try Tommythewho and ask him.

If you really want some on yours, this would be the perfect time to try your hand at some knife modding. It's not as hard as it sounds. I used to think I couldn't do it either, until my fellow Beckerheads drove me to it with their excellent modded blades. Give it a try. You'll be surprised to see how innovative you can be when you set your mind to it.

Oh, and you really need to post pics of your 2 and 7 with their Skystorm rigs, cuz you know we all want to see them. :D

I myself do not even believe that these supposed "2 and 7 with their Skystorm rigs" even exist, as there are no photos.

Never made any, but did a mock up once: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/969058-BK13-Remora-Mock-Up?p=11026472#post11026472

You should try making a set yourself since wood is easy to work with in comparison to micarta or G-10...The 13 was my first Becker and my "practice piece" when I started out customizing knives and really, for the cost of $20 if you mess it up beyond all recognition its not that big a loss. If not, you should get in touch with Tommythewho.

thanks alot guys! i'll give it a go myself and post the results if they turn out ok. I will also post picks up of my bk2 and bk7 with the micarta scales and skystorm sheaths when i get a chance!

I was working on making a removable set, but didn't get very far on that. I was using the peel-ply G10 for a US knife supply shop. The concept is there, but my tools are lacking...

Hi I just finished up making a routing jig so I can make a few scale for the guys down under.

Hi, in the last picture you see a Aluminium guide screwed into the wood base, to the left the router cutter has a ball race on the bottom so it follows the Aluminum plate you then screw your rough cut scale to the Aluminium and run the router cutter around it and you end up with picture number one. All hand work after that.
