Becker BK14 Sharpening Do's and Don't's.

If I had a nickel for every screw up I made, I'd have $17,412.23

Crap, screwed up. $17,412.25

LOL, I like how you end up with a number that doesn't end in 0 or 5 using only nickels. Are you taking taxes into consideration or what?

I'm alternating a coarse edge and a polished edge on some of mine. That toothier edge tends to cut better on the draw, but polished lasts so much better on push cuts in green wood. Still on the fence about which I want on what blade. My BK2 is mirror polished right now, and generally stays that way. My 9, toothy as an alligator grin.

I'm sooooo feeling the same way lately, ALL my stuff was polished like a big dawg... now though I just hit it with 220 or 400 on my belt and call it good..

it has more 'BITE'.. that's the kick I'm on lately, its nice to change it up from time to time..

Derek I can't tell you how many times I've done that with so many different things in life, you think its like riding a bike and I'll just jump in here and do this or that, and realize OOPS...... I just messed something up, not quite what I was expecting.. doh..

I think I would've kept that super:D keen edge and made a razor out of it..
