Just dip them in boiling water then pluck. Oh its better to use the killing cone first to"Harvest" the heads first. See I didn't say cut the head off so it bleeds out!

Yes. These were my Sister's chickens.
It may sound Funny, but I'm a "animal lover".....
I tried catching them as quietly as I could, I gently swung them upside down First, rocking them to relax them. (It Works)
put them in the cones, slit their throats. After they were dead, I whacked their heads off so the blood came out faster.

Yes, dipping them in 140F water for around 45 seconds made the feathers come off Nicely, but we had 20 birds to do, and machinery is Fun! It worked Amazingly well. I actually said Wow!
...the first time I saw it.
