Becker EDC: do you carry any Beckers

I carry a Becker Necker BK-11 daily. It is usually in my right pants "cargo" pocket. If I don't have that extra pocket, I keep it in my left front jeans/pants pocket. I have carried a Camillus BK - 11 since 2006 and switched to a Kabar Necker just last year. I like the Necker size for pocket carry.

What do you daily carry for Beckers?

Not anymore. I used to edc my BK-15, but I never found a sheath I liked.
Did you ever try a "scout" carry?

I like to carry my BK-16 scout carry as it seems the most comfortable for long duration carry. I don't notice it when its horizontal across my back.
I have a couple of AZWelke kydex sheaths and added TekLoks to them, one vertical and the other horizontal. Then I can pick the sheath for the direction I want to carry.

It's pretty rare that I do. I've got a BK14 that I'll sometimes cargo pocket carry and the BK15 is always in my sling bag for the woods. I prefer a deep carry pocket knife for most EDC purposes.

Oh, sorry for the WOT coming :) I'm slighty obsessed with my favourite EDC.

BK14 Eskabar all the way. Whatever knife I carry, the 14 is still my nearly perfect EDC and I got multiples of it in varying states of mods or wear patterns.

If I happen to carry something else in my right front pocket, you'll find the 14 in my backpack.

It's wonderfully versatile, a true BF lovechild of the Izula handles and the amazing BK11 bladeshape.

The only thing I will actually drop it for would be the BK14 with the Izula 2 handle shape.
I tried the elongated scales, but that did not work out for me.

If Kabar brings the 14 in Magnacut I'll immediately get it, and if they produce a Magnacut version with a slightly longer handle and micarta scales, I will buy at least five.

My other daily Becker is the 17, that goes into my pocket when I'm heading out into the woods. I carry it in my backpack and won't leave the house without it.

I do like the scout carry, in fact. In a couple of period equestrian events I've carried a large belduque at the small of my back and it has been comfortable on the ground and in the saddle. The 15 is a fraction of the weight, so it would ride even easier. But as I prefer leather, I need to look a little harder. Not dumping on the knife, just admitting to my own laziness.

Good suggestion! And with Spring on the way, I can carry easier without a heavy jacket soon.

I carry my BK-18 all the time. Is it actually legal, I have no idea, but I don't really care either. I do not engage in questionable behavior that would bring attention to me either. My school of thought is : better to have it & not need it, than to need it and not have it. If I am not carrying it then I am carrying my legally licensed handgun.

Love the BK-18.

Likewise! I just keep my bigger blades in my pockets and only pull out my Vic ALOX Cadet when others are around.

Did you see the latest Wyoming law that passed yesterday?!?!?

"Sensitive Places" are no more in WY to permit holders.

Hence, permit holders will be allowed to carry guns in schools! (Hence, knives follow suit.)

Now if I can just get the Mrs. to move...

I edc a folder everyday. I live in the suburbs and work in NYC and really have to be careful with what I’m carrying. On the rare occasion that I carry a fixed blade, it’s small enough to fit in my pocket. All my folders have deep carry clips and even with those, as soon as I’m nearing the City, I move my knife into a pocket. There are cops, national guard, and state troopers everywhere and I don’t need unwanted attention. Over the last two months, I’ve rotated between: a Hogue Deka, a Spyderco Manix, a Benchmade mini 940, and a Benchmade Bugout.

Not trying to be a jerk here but once you get past brand loyalty, the BK40 is an inferior knife. There are so many better options.
You don't eat black angus steak for every meal, sometimes a sandwich tastes great. ;)
