Becker EDC: do you carry any Beckers

That reminds me that I never did get the folder...but that's somewhat in part to the fact that there are so many fantastic folders out there already. Depending on the day, I'll carry a Syderco PM2 or PM3, Benchmade Bugout or Mini Adamas, Chaves 229 or Street, or some cheaper QSPs, Vosteed, and Kershaws for beaters.

My point exactly. I don’t think a Becker folder needed to happen. Ethan is a superb fixed blade designer. Fixed blades and folders are two different beasts, having skills for one doesn’t necessarily translate to the other. Granted, does anyone know if Ethan even designed the BK40?

I prefer fixed over folders, and knife laws here in Texas are, well, about as good as it gets. The Becker folders do not appeal to me at all. I have a number of Kershaws, Cold Steels, Spydercos and SAKs that are great knives and fit my needs.

Observation; Kershaw has produced many really good knives over decades, at very good prices. Beats me why there is no Kershaw forum here.

I often carry a Cold Steel Kobun for SD/ER. If KaBar still produced the BK15 I would definitely buy one and carry it as well. Also a BK5 as a field knife. Beats me too why KaBar stopped making these. Lower sales? Well, just don't make so many of them. Just enough to satisfy demand.
