Love that pic Todd! And it's nice to see Murph living up to his reputation!
 
To me it looked like there was a hidden flaw in the metal near the spine.
Mist got pictures, E has the pieces to send to Toooj for examination.
 
Yarrgh. BK11 folder has evolved, new form barely resembles original organism. Will attempt euthanasia. If this does not work, hold on to your hats boys. APOCALYPSE!

Thank you! I think I just might. For future reference, making friends with a waterjet operator is a good idea 99.9% of the time. In this particular instance, he gave me a HUGE drop of 5/32" thick 440c and offered to jet this sucking thing out for free. And that is no small thing with .07" 6-4 ti! :eek:

I was just trying to make some kindling for the coffee fire; I do concur with VIK, plus the shape of the break alone looks awful odd. Even so, Uncle E was nice enough to see that I got another! A real class act. I guess some days I could screw up toast!
 
Just a tip, JAFW, I'd shorten the tip or lengthen the handle a bit so the edge/tip isn't so close to the handle. I've had a few folders cut me because of that. Good luck on making it though. Can't wait to see it.

My thinking was that the backspacer would prevent that, perhaps not. I see your point.

Awesome! If he wants to run some extras, I'd love to work with that design. ;) what's the blade / handle length?

:D;) Blade length is 3.46" don't quite recall the handle length, but I believe the ratio was .85 or so. Thank you! You flatter me!
