Picked up a new beer today. For a summer style ale it's pretty tasty. Kona Brewing Co. Big Wave

it was my anniversary... i was busy.... ALL NIGHT LONG-

too bad for her she had to go to work....

So apparently the Swabbie I won over at the Kabar subforums is stuck at customs...
They're asking for a paypal transaction or proof of purchase from which they can deduct the value of the package, since that has not been declared on it.
That's just my luck... I just explained them via e-mail that I won it in an online giveaway and hence don't have any proof of purchase or can't show them a paypal transaction. I hope that will suffice. We'll see if I finally receive it now...

I havent gotten my BK22 but Im pretty sure its not in customs lol

Sorry to hear that, shark. sounds like a superfluous bureaucratic nightmare.

Perhaps if you can prove your pirate heritage, (or have a beard, parrot and earring), you can claim it's some sort of discrimination :D

Well, my wife went to start her car last night at about 9:30 last night.... the OEM battery finally died. Luckily the O'Reilly's nearby was open til 10pm.

Only brand of battery they carry is Super Start, didn't have much of a choice since she needed her car in the AM. A little research after the fact tells me the batteries are made by East Penn, which seems to be well regarded. Hopefully it won't be some junk battery.

Anyone have experience with these? East Penn car batteries any good?

On a more happy note, I ordered two other Ka-Bar products today.
It was about time that I tried a Ka-Bar Dozier, so I ordered one...
...together with a BK24. Yey! Really love my 14, so I consider this an upgrade. Now I can switch it up a bit, that's always fun.

If it starts your car, its better than the one you had!
