i keep doing these knife figures with this thing. twirls and flicks and what not while i'm watching a movie... and sipping bourbon.

mesmerizing knife. feels good in the hand.

balance point is just behind the front most handle bolt.

lively...

okay, more bourbon, but i'm putting this down before i slice myself.

Thank's for the pictures. I'm a drop point fan but the more I look the more I think this will be my first "tweener".
 
Me Wantie! I tried to open this last night with dialup and almost had a heart attack cuz only the first three pics would open. Heart is still racing from the looks of this one. Super Sweet and I really like the sheath too. Looks like it all just fits together perfectly. My favorite tweener, but I also love the drop point, and the clip is pretty bad azz too.
 
Wow really nice pics i was going to get the BK16 first. But after that picture show i don't know now.

Prediction: By June Ka-Bar will be poking Ethan for a few more Tweener designs for 2013. I'm pushing for a "Bushcraft" model BK16, with a notch on the spine for firesteels and a kydex sheath with a firesteel loop...sort of like what Blind Horse does with the Pathfinder knives. That would be SUH-WEEEET!!!

Of course...I'm not going to wait for that. Going to make my own.
 
Why did this thread have to pop up? I had planned on getting this knife last, because it's going to be a dedicated food prep/steak knife but after seeing this I may just need the world's best steak knife sooner than I thought. My wife is just going to have to deal with me whipping this thing out to eat at the steak house. :D

I had the same idea with the BK16. I wanted to use it for a bushcraft knife. So, yes. I will be making a firesteel notch and have a custom sheath made up for it. We don't have to wait for anyone to make a special model, thanks to these forums, plenty of guys around here will have custom sheaths ready within the first week or two.

Yeah, actually I've been considering ordering some of the FTX bullets for my handloads. currently I'm using sierra 150gr FP's. (which I like, but am new to rifle loading).
 
Dear Santa, can I have a BK-15,16 and 17? Nah, only joking...as if I'd actually wait that long lol. But seriously, that thing looks sweet and since I'm not half bad with kydex...dun dun dun!
