Hey guys,

I was over BKT's Facebook page and we could all spread the love for Becker knives a bit more through FB. It's looks like just starting and they need some help too. Kershaw, RAT, ZT, Tactical 5.11 and possibly others are tapping into social networks like FB to good use. I love the photos and postings by Jeff on their FB pages. It's really cool. We can start by clicking Like and post some over BKT's FB as well if it is okay by you guys. :D

I don't Facebook. I've been deactivated for some time, and I'm thinking of deleting the whole thing. (It is possible. Tricky, but possible.)

However, I just got the following Tweet via Ethan:
"Found the perfect toilet seat for the new crapper. Guyon is going to be ecstatic." :p :D
 
I don't facebook either, but I clicked that link and found out that the us remora's are made of 1095. A little bit of misinformation there.

Moose, I saw some photos of you and Ethan posted by Jeff at RAT's fanpage. It's cool. :) Anyway no problem at all for those who dont FB but for those of us who do, interacting with BKT's FB page increases exposure to our networks and will help promote Becker Knife and Tools. Just thinking it might help.

Oh, I agree whole heartedly with that statement, and I appreciate it much for bringing it to our attention. I just don't do it, but millions upon millions do, so, no reason not limit the exposure for sure.

Not trying to be a wet blanket here, but was permission to use the name, "Becker Knife & Tool Co." sought and granted to put that page up? If so, is that an official company page?

Fan pages can produce net gains for the artists/individuals/companies that they refer to, but as I understand it, they're supposed to be named or labeled as such. When I first went to the page, I thought it was an official company page, but now I think that was a mistaken assumption made by me entirely because of reading the title of the page literally. If it's not an official page, the title should be changed to reflect it being a fan page in my view.

Now, we have gotten into something. I went and checked it out. I don't think Ethan or Kabar has sanctioned that site. I could be wrong. Could one of you facebookers check into that for me, and if its not official, you might want to warn him/her before they get landed on with both feet.

This is a Fan Site for admirers of the designs of Ethan Becker. After a Facebook search for a related group or fan page came up with nothing, I decided to create the page because one should exist. Have fun with it...

That's what the first entry on the facebook page says. It doesn't exactly scream "official", does it?

Oh and BluesStringer, please don't be angry at me about that ignorance thing, I wasn't trying to piss you off. Sorry if you felt like I was. I just tried to make a joke, stupid language and cultural barriers...

Edit: Moose, I just warned/informed the owner/creator of the page. He'll drop in here shortly, at least I hope so.
