I just got some engineering 'LINE' drawnings from Phil today of some of the BK&T knives. I've been playing with them, and some of the programs in my computer, trying to give them some contours. Here's my first attempt.

Ok, so I didn't do so good 'shading' the BRUTE drawing,....soooo here's the CAMPANION before any of my 'handiwork'.

The CAMPANION uses the same handle, but instead of the .250" stock we use for the BRUTE, we thin the bladestock of the CAMPANION down to .210", blade lenght is 5.25". It of course uses the same 0170-6C carbon steel. Black epoxy powder coated.

Here's the TacTool....

This is the same steel, .225" thick, steep chisel ground. The quintessential<sp> 'Sharpened Prybar!'.

All three feature Kydex carry systems.

Pant! Lust! Drool!

That sharpened prybar should be legal for concealed carry in California, since it's hardly a stabbing weapon! Obviously, it's constant earthquake preparedness!

Will, your post made my day, probably the week or more. Not sure about the Brute based on knives I already have, but I've updated my New Year's resolution list to get my hands on the Campanion and Tac-Tool. Will, send the regards of Becker fans everywhere to the entire Camillus gang for reviving such great knife designs. One thing I didn't notice was a steel selection for the Tac Tool. It's earlier incarnation as the Res-Q Dive Tool was intended partially as a diving tool in 440, has this changed now that the Tac Tool seems more land-based?

Will,

Are these currently available? If not, when? If so, how much?

Thanks in advance,

it's good to see them coming back to the production line. can you tell me more about the steel you are using? i looked but couldn't find it on any steel charts i had. content, hardness, etc.?

the brute should make a heck of a chopper, maybe even a machete replacement.

The Companion must be mine!Any advance notice on price or date available?Maybe they will come with a usable sheath?

Will Fennell,
You are the Devil, aren't you?!
Just when I think I'm starting to get a handle on this knife buying mega-binge Ive been on, you come out with these.
I WANT that BRUTE!!
The Companion needs to be mine too!

Available when and how much?

BTW, Just handled your new FB today. A REAL winner for sure. Can Terzuola design a Combat style blade or WHAT! This is a great collabaration effort. You guys did the design to the tee!

I want a Campanion......I WANT A CAMPANION!!!!!!!!!!

When and where do these come out!!!!

C'mon, I'm anxious here!!!

What! The Companion only .21" thick? Well, as long as it'll serve for prying tires over the bead, cutting steel-belted tires and similar useful chores, it just might do (just kidding). I believe the original Becker Companions (I have one, luckily) were 1095, .25" thick, and cryogenically treated. Will the heat treat on the new BK&T line have a cryo treat?

LOVE that Brute!!! Man thats a big sucker... I now need one... what I shall use it for I do not know.... and I hold that against Will and Camillus..

its all yer fault. Powder Coated? A shame. Those are some nice lines and would look really nice in a satin finish.

I recall the original Companion and perhaps the Campknife(?) having scales held together with bolts that could be disassembled for cleaning. Is this the case for the Camilli revivals?

And yes, I WANT ONE.

Must...have...Brute...

Will they produce the Machax? I have a friend desperately looking for one.

baffle them with your BS.

Will,

Good going.

Are there any plans to produce the rest of the line? The original BK&T line included the Magnum Camp knife and a Rienhart Kukri.

Guys,
I really appreciate your interest in the ENTIRE BK&T line. We are going to see the response to the first 3 models that we have decided to produce, and judge further action from there. If and when we bring aout any additional models, it will not be at least until BLADESHOW this summer, or maybe SHOTSHOW 2001.

I think we have 3 winners here to start with, I really hope the public agrees.
