Becker Micarta handles

I got the micarta scales today !! They are a light and dark olive green. They are not rough, but they are grippy. They fit and feel great. I'll get some pics real soon.

they're nice. the nuts fit snugly though so I hammered them into place with a #8 hex and a hammer.

Looking good! I almost want to strip my BK2, put a patina on it, and get the micarta's.

I'll at least be getting the micarta scales though...
 
I put mine on my BK7 as well. It's Awesome!

Just a little FYI for everyone, it appears the holes for the nuts and cap screws are not drilled as deeply as the Grivory handles. This was no problem on my BK7, however on my BK1 Brute which has a 1/4" thick tang, the stock cap screws were too short to reach the nut on the other side. I'm just going to go to Home Depot and try to get some slightly longer socket head cap screws and I should be good to go.
 
Very nice! I just got my BK9 a little while ago, haven't had time to do much more than fondle it yet, but the grivory scales actually feel pretty good. But I do like micarta... :D

They feel great. They're canvas micarta. Very grippy.

I don't think they come in other colors. Maybe in the future?
 
I just visited the KaBar website and saw they now have the new S30V beckers and micarta handles for sale. The micarta handles are listed at a MSRP of $40 but what really surprised me was that they were list as being a limited production item. Guess I'm going to have to rush out and get a pair or two real fast.
 
I finally had time to take a couple of pics of the Beckers with the new micarta scales.

Going micarta would be a good time to go stainless anyway.
 
Got my scales today. They feel good. ii will probably have to sand them down just a hair to fit perfect but they are good. They feel nice grippy but not rough. They smell really weird. Anyhow here are some pics. They are actually darker than the pics due to the flash they are like a medium beige with some greenish in it.
