Anyone have any cool stories about spreading the word with regard to Becker knives?

There is a couple that sells knives at local gun shows. They have folders from low end stuff, to Cold Steel, Kabar and Spyderco. They also sell a number of fixed blades, about half of which are various Kabar models.

I was speaking with them a couple of months ago and asked if they had ever considered adding Becker blades to the lineup. The guy told me he had thought about it but wasn't sure. Next day I came back wearing a BK2 and a BK14. Let him see and handle both.

Next gun show, he had added some of just about every Becker model currently available. Every time I walk by his tables, there are people fiddling with them and the other Kabar stuff. Last couple of times I've talked with him, he's told me he just can't keep BK2s in stock - people love them.

Anyone else?

I'm talking Becker and Kabar up big time on my channel. I've downsized the collection a lot, so what I need is to find a local buddy with a BK4 and any other interesting knives I don't have to help me out so I can do more Becker reviews. The BK7/14 and BK9 videos are the most viewed videos I have, followed closely by Cold Steel/Condor machete vids.

If only there were more Beckerheads in Columbus!

I've spread the word around a couple of other forums, mostly gun forums. Adding pics of modded Beckers always gets a good response. Of course, you have to expect at least a few guys to ask you to mod their knives in a similar fashion. Modded Beckers are popular.

Gingi I thought you had decided to finally become a hermit and lives in the woods full time. Glad to have you back around!

I don't have any really cool stories except for that initial moment when they all held a BK2 for the first time, and that shit eating grin slowly spreads from ear to ear.

My BK16 has been passed around more than one bushcraft gathering - even though a lot of those guys sport customs on their hips most of the time, more than one have told me it's been added to their shopping list once they get to use mine.

I'm over west of you guys, right North of Dayton. Approximately 5 miles east of Troy.

I won a few guys over at work last year.
I got my BK2 out of the get home bag in the back of my Jeep, drove it point first through a piece of 3/4 plywood using a baton, disassembled a pallet with it, made a fuzz stick, lit a fire, and still sliced up my hard salami for lunch.
They only questions I got was whether or not Tomar had them in stock, what the hell is a tweener, and when was I bringing the 9 in so they could see it.

One guy went full bore with a 2, a 9, and a 16, and darn near dropped a deuce when he saw my new 5 earlier this month.

For Christmas 2011 I got my brother a BK-11. I liked that little knife so much that by a month later, I got one and started to EDC it.

At work, one of the guys in maintenance saw it and had to have one. Within six months ALL of them are carrying a BK-11.

Now two of the guys in shipping are carrying BK-11's.

I have started a cult.

I've been carrying a Becker for about a year. Since then I got my brother, my sister, my mom and my cousin all carrying either a 14, 11, or 17. My brother bought a 14 the day I bought him an 11.

I try to post links and suggest beckers when people ask for opinions in those "what knife should I get?" threads that pop up all that time in.

I promote BKT a little here and there.

My real passion is ESEE knives......

I post on EDC Forums a decent bit and have posted lots of pics. One pic I posted of my modded 14 got a lot of attention and a few PMs asking what I had done to it, one girl actually asked me to tell her the whole story of how the Eskabar came to be and has already bought one.

I guess I am gonna go broke in brewskis at blade....Cause it looks like I owe a bunch of you guys.......Much appreciated Guys, much appreciate........

The BK2 is very famous in Brazil...And the forums about bushcraft, camping and adventure, I popularized the other models, always talking about the advantages of knives becker....Although very expensive here (due to import taxes) other models begin arriving in force and that makes me very happy ...

I got a local knife shop to start carrying BK&T . I hadn't been in there for a long time and stopped by on my birthday last year. He showed me his USA made cases. Lots of Tops, ZT, Ka-Bar (along with JAB), but no BK&T. I asked him why. He said, he just didn't know anything about them. I came in the following week with my backpack full o' Beckers. He now carries BK&T.
