I live just a few minutes from a big sporting goods store. I am in there a lot and keep telling the guys working the knife counter they should get some Beckers. They have always had a decent selection of Kabars for a local place. I was there yesterday and finally,there they were!
A BK2,BK15 and BK16! This is the first time I have seen a Becker for sale in a store. I like to think my mentioning Beckers to them many times had something to do with it.

I'm converting someone into knifehood as we speak, Beckerhood in the long term. It's a work-in-progress though
I plan on selling BK&T products when i retire from current job. Odd, they are made about 1.5 hrs from me, yet MANY locals have never heard of them. I just may be "that guy" at the gun shows, selling BK&T some day. Unless NY outlaws gun shows all together ???

I actually converted a co-worker. He was asking me last week if I could recommend a good knife. He explained his cheap Chinese made (Survival knife) actually broke in half trying to cut some branches while he was constructing his hide during a hunt. I said, "Take a look at what I have, it's a camp knife but.....I'll show you some more like mine." (I knew he was looking to get a bowie style just by hearing him talk about what he was interested in). I went to my bag, pulled out my BK2 and showed it to him. He was in awe of it. He asked. "What the hell is this and where did you get it?" I told him it was a Becker made by Kabar. I then looged on to Tomars and showed him the other Beckers.
He was so impressed with the 9 looking at it on Tomars. I then booted up BF, to BKT sub and showed him the "Throne Room" thread. He totally freaked the eff out.
Last time we talked he was all over it.

I have a buddy I've brought a long way with knives over the past few years. When I met him, he carried a combo-edge tanto folder. Now I have him hooked on FFG drop-points. I've lent him several Beckers to carry and try out, and then last year I got him a 14 for a graduation present. The first hit is free.
His next fixed blade will probably be a 16. He really likes the size and shape.

I show mine at work all the time( my BK14) as it is my edc. Just had a guy in the office order one..they see how i beat the crap out of it everyday and it keeps on going. Of course the king( my beloved 9) rides in my bag everywhere i go. Bring enough knife!
