Deramped BK9. I used a hand file but I would recommend power tools for sure. Sore hands...

BK9 stripped, acid & stonewashed, convexed. Stonewash was via the dryer using 6" PVC and mini river rocks, had to stop at 45 minutes due to almost killing said dryer.

Been wanting to do this forever, and finally had the time this weekend. Jimping is still to be added, gonna touch up the edge, and I'm working on a new sheath.

Some pics from user Echo2 over on BCUSA I snagged. Thought this was a very ingenious use around Floppy Sheath Syndrome that is common with the BK2, as well as his method for holding a firesteel.

I used Bondo brand fiberglass resin and bought my canvas at Walmart. I only sanded to 220 grit because I wanted a really grippy handle for a sure grip through rain, sweat, fat, blood, snow, and ice.

BK2 stripped with choil and jimping added by yours truly. Wood scales courtesy of crimsonfalcon07.

Hello,
I'm new to the forum and decided to mess around with my BK-2 and post the results. I've never modded a knife so this is pretty rudimentary compared to some of the amazing work I've seen on this forum. Thanks for looking.

Stripped and added a 90 minute white vinegar patina

I added a convex edge with my Worksharp Sharpener

I added a cheap $3 pouch from my local Army / Navy store. I made holes with an awl and added longer screws and washers to the belt loop plate.

Open Pouch with a good look at how I mounted it. It also has elasticized straps that are around the sheath and they help keep it in place.
