I've about talked myself into one of these knives. But i do need to see how big it is in the hand. ANyone have photos?? Would be most excellent if you posted some. Thanks, again. :p

I'm at work but I'll post some pics later.

Anyway, I love my Necker, but I added some fairly thick Purpleheart scales to mine to make it easier to handle. I had it wrapped with paracord for quite a while, but it never felt very good in the hand and it would get pretty gross when I would use it to clean wild game, ducks and such. I am planning on buying one of the new ones and putting rosewood scales on it so I will have one for carry and one for the kit.

Bottom line, it's a fine knife and for the price, you can't beat it. If you buy it and hate it, you can get rid of it quick, I'll bet...

I have one of the original Camillus Becker Neckers, and it fits in my hand well. Since I don't like dangling sheathes off my neck, I attached a snap link to the sheath to facilitate attaching it to a belt loop, etc...

I'm glad they are back in production at a reasonable price.

I don't have a pic of it in hand, but here is a picture of me sanding the scales. It should give an idea of it's size.

And, Bushman5, clean your stove!!! ;)

I have one of the "old" Camillus ones too and it's a keeper. If you've heard the new ones are similar steel/quality etc, go for it. I wrapped mine like Skunkwerx's above... in fact IIRC I learned how form a tutorial he posted here long ago :)

Skunk

Glad you posted, I should be getting a new kaBar Necker in the mail tomorrow or thursday, and have been looking for pictures of how to wrap the handle (with little success). Now I know what to do!

I have one of the camillus becker necker's.. it's a cool little knife... very handy...

the factory sheath was horrible...:thumbdn: it was like wrestling an alligator, to get the knife out...:o i had sharpshooter make me another..

Took delivery of BK11 today. Cool little knife. The new sheath is pretty bulky for discrete neck carry and overly large for such a compact little knife. It would be OK strapped to a pack but the knife could use a different sheath. This was not a surprise as I had seen the sheaths in the videos on Dour Ritter's site.
