Hah no worries...
When 8" shut everything down around here last year I got around great in 2wd 1990 f150. Even passed a wrangler in a ditch right by the house! I have full confidence in driving safely. Did the same back when my little Imprezza was running. Another 8-10" storm a few years ago, took it out to Lowes about 15min away, took about 30 min, and had lots of fun in that lot! Only problems I've ever had is the idiots in my way. The Jeep will only add to the fun!
 
my dad used to work with a guy who would go all over the state to work on geological Surveys, while doing this he would go down some pretty sketchy roads. no matter where he went he drove a 2 wheel drive, manual transmission ford pickup. however he told my dad that no matter where he went he always carried a shovel, axe, chains, comalong and a high lifter jack, and with those tools he could get out of just about anything

Spike, with those tools you have just but everything covered, even an impromptu winch with the jack acting as a come along.
Jack to pull the weight, come along or chain looped to itself as a retention device. Since the load is static and not jarring you maintain the majority of the load bearing of the utensils.
 
I didn't feel like taking the kayak down from its cradle.

Give me a Becker and a good looking pair of boots. And not any of your old ratty work boots you should have thrown out back in '99 but you just couldn't bring yourself to "because they're just so comfortable." Good looking boots.
 
My current grab-and-go. Sometimes I Zippo instead of the exotac sleeve.
