I could do a 722, or a nice Browning, but no 700. Not sure I have a single photo of the Remington yet, actually.

That's good stuff, Charlie. You'd think some Beckerhead would have access to a live horse or something. Then again, they probably wouldn't be glued to the computer.

My daughter made a drawing today. My Little Pony head on the Incredible Hulk's body. She called it My Little Hulky, and gave it to her little sister.

There's a reason for the old saying "Eats like a horse." They are not cheap to feed. They need more grain than cows, they need "horse quality" hay, they have more and higher vet bills. You can't eat them (well you can, but it's frowned on and most butchers won't work on one), their manure is "hotter" than cow manure, easily burning tender vegetation if used improperly. They need more care (grooming, stall conditions, etc). You gotta put a coat on them in really cold weather. and on and on and on. Failure to ride them frequently allows for backsliding in their "training". Our horses all went away in the mid-70s, while I was in college the first go-round and due to all of the above, never replaced after I got off active duty.

There are 4 horses in a pasture not far from me, but it's 2 miles down the road and then across 100+ yards of mesquite and brush, through 3 barb wire fences and I wasn't gonna try that in the dark, in Texas, in early Spring during rattlesnake mating season. uh uh. I may be an Aggie, but I ain't crazy.

I've had at least two horses everyday of my life for the past 9 years!!! They were out being ridden by my sister and her friend. :grumpy:
