Becker Remora, junk?

It makes a damn good steak knife when out and about...... Small enough to not threaten the most PC of fellow restaurant guests and is under almost all fixed blade restrictions.... Almost....Check ......... Not for batonning knotty oak but will make a feather stick damned quick....... Holds an edge.......

E

and there you have it

I wouldn't use it on your junk....tho it's probably sharp enough ;). It is a great little knife that is VERY sharp and holds it's edge extremely well. Uncle E nailed it....non-threatening edc that's also handy for neck carry; hardly noticeable. Also a good (as well as inexpensive) ride along for any of the big Beckers. My youngest likes it...and I like it as well; it has the thinnest edge of any of the Beckers - and requires zero maintenance (aside from the occasional edge touch up).

I got an infraction for that in another place here.. This post Serves as a reminder to why I love being a Beckerhead

Nah, you got a warning, not an infraction. Different animal. Traditional is its own special place with tighter rules. I found out the hard way myself. :p

I looked into this little guy because its so inexpensive but is it worth the money? Reviews seem mixes online and my old 7 didn't come with one.
Junk? Oh hell no. I have one in my desk at the office, It's great for cutting up the occasional lime for my beer or popping open a letter. The spine is sharp so it'll shave a fire steel nicely.

I haven't bought a remora , as quite happy with my 14 and 11. It does look like a decent knife for small psk kits though.

If anyone thinks their Ramora is junk, please send directly to me for proper disposal... :D

I guess we'll just ignore the Gerber sighting lol I used to carry them before I found the Becker line

Junk? Hardly. They're hand as hell. I had s couple stashed here and there and have given all of them away to folks that needef a blade more than I needed another. I have one left in the house and it belongs to my 4 year old daughter. I took the edge off, blunted the tip and wrapped the handle in pink 550. It's now her trainer blade. She carries it everywhere her backpack goes.
