I have been playing with a drawing program called Inkscape lately. Just doing something fun, what do you guys think? :D

That's pretty cool! I think a wharnie style spike would be better, though. Not the curved spike you see on most hawks, but a true wharncliff style. Also, a little more point on the top of the cutting edge (basically, a mirror of the bottom hook of the cutting edge). I don't know why hawks rarely have an upper 'point'; it seems like it would make the hawk more functional as a weapon AND a chopping tool (more edge).

I like it. The only note I have for ya, is a pole hammer would be more utilitarian and have many more applications. If you look at the BKT line a little closer, its about use and versiltility over "combat edges".

But that is a great looking design. Best handle I've seen for a BKT tomahawk to date. Well done.

Yeah I agree with you on the hammer pole. The spike is actually based off the curve of a BK11 blade and then mirrored to a double edge. I wanted to try an incorporate any design features from Beckers as I could. I tried to blend in an area around the cutting edge similiar to the upper portion of the blade on a Becker Brute, but it didnt work out too well. If I find time later I will sketch one up with a hammer pole.

Nice work. I like the handdles you made.I also prefer a pole hammer,i thinks it is more useable. Great design!

I was expecting to see an Ontario RD Hawk style, with the Grivory handles, but you've gone in a different direction.
I see the spike as a weapon or breeching too, and less of a wood tool. Maybe a Becker Hawk could have two choices, hammer or spike.

I like the idea of a hammer myself as well, would be more useful for me at least.

I like it, except for the spike. Something a little less rounded would suit me better. The current version looks like someone just tape a knife to the back, imo.

Here is one with a hammer pole. It was kinda hard to decide on how I wanted the pole to be shaped, but this is what I came up with. The grip would feel a bit different while using the hammer pole since the handles are shaped to be held facing foward. I held my BK2 in a reverse position and it didnt feel too bad, but its tough to say until you would actually try to hammer something with it.

I would buy the hammer pole design. Awesome hawk design you could but Becker handles on a shovel and it would be fun to use.

I love it mate, I will take one!!!!!!! awesome, im loving the one with the hammer poll

I'm diggin' that second version.

oh look! a becker i would get! :D

spike or hammer, either way. been craving a sturdy hawk/entry tool, for an affordable price, and this looks just right.
