My daily is a little C-class I picked up for the wife. She decided it's too small, so I inherited it when I bought her a wagon.
I don't think I even have a picture of it. Looks like the stock photos of a red 2006 C230.

My not-as-daily was procured by my wife, from her father, when she went off to college ever so many years ago. (He bought it new when he got his PhD even more years ago.)
It's a '66.

This was it at a company event the beginning of the summer. I suppose I need a new picture now that the 20 year old whitewalls gave up the ghost on a 600 mile road trip last month. One separated at the bead and wouldn't hold air so I replaced the lot of 'em. Sadly, I couldn't find any WW on short notice on a Sunday afternoon (Had 250 miles to go, and work the next day. Argh.)
Spent the past Sunday afternoon underneath it, replacing all 4 shocks.
Good times.
Only thing I needed a Becker for was opening the packages...

Aww man tjswarbrick, that pic of your beautiful '66 make me miss my '67 Fastback I had to sell six years ago now. It was a 289 k code, signal flare red in original condition. She was my daily driver for 5 years but needed a full resto that I couldn't afford at the time, so I traded her for a brand new 2007 Ford Falcon, which I still own.

Miss my Mustang every day, maybe one day I will have another.

Lot's of nice rides!
I get a lot of enjoyment working on and using my toy's

54 Chevy, 383 Stroker, 700R4

71 Chevy Suburban, 454

76 FJ40 Landcruiser, 454, TH350, NP205, Ford 9"

98 Dodge Ram 2500, Cummins Turbo Diesel

02 Subaru Outback - It's getting prepped for an engine swap.

My wife's car is an 02 Subaru Impreza Wagon - She wanted a WRX, but I knew she would get into too much trouble with a turbo engine.

SOme of my past rides:

1992 Galant VR4 342/1000 - Nothing like running an 11 sec quarter mile with a 2.0L inline 4. :)

1997 Eagle Talon TSi AWD - Basically the same engine as the Galant, but in a curvier package. I think I miss this car the most.

Not a Beckerhead yet but here is my truck:

2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie Quadcab, 5.9 gas guzzling beast. 3" body lift, torsion leveling, Rancho RS5000 shocks on 35" Toyo Open Country M/Ts.
This is an older picture, I've since blacked it out even more by painting the grille and applying Herculiner up to the lower bodyline and over both bumpers. I drive it when gas drops below $3.50 or when my fiance and I can't carpool.

How did I miss this thread?!?

So here is the first car I ever bought. A 1974 Ford Ranchero GT 400/C6/3.55 9inch.
300169_10150339075925219_1756361_n.jpg

Not much to look at but it served me pretty well for 11 year up until it was rear-ended by an '02 super duty

The whole bed side was shoved forward and wrinkled the sheet metal

It was on a really dusty gravel road and my buddy was following me and I was following another guy. Visibility was so bad we couldn't see each other and I missed a turn so I went to pull over and he didn't realize I had slowed way down. His insurance payed me way more than it was worth but it was still sad to see it go when the tow truck hauled it off.

Bought this '84 K5 about 5 years ago when my '89 F150 4x4 finally died and I needed another 4x4. 350/th700r4/ 3.08's in the 10-bolts. It was my DD for a while alternating with my ranchero until that got smashed. Then became my dedicated DD until I got my sonoma which is better on gas.

When the Ranchero got totaled I had to take the blazer to the shop for some work and I was still waiting for the insurance to settle up. Looked through the paper and found a gem. A '74 Pontiac Catlina. 2 bbl 400/th400. Would do 17mpg on the highway all day long and was in near perfect mechanical condition. I paid $560 out the door and didn't have to fix anything on it or put any money into it (other than the gas tank). Pulled the sound system out and sold that for $200 and sold the car when the insurance check came in for $500. I do miss this car though.

When I got the insurance money for the ranchero I decided I wanted a big heavy duty truck so I found this rust-free '90 F250. 460/C6. In pretty good shape for it's age.

The F250 was a good solid truck but I never ended up using it to it's capacity other than the move. So I decided to get a little truck and save some money on gas. Using the blazer as my DD was costing about $240 a month just in gasoline but I had put a new engine and trans in it and didn't want to get rid of it. Shopped around and got this little '93 GMC Sonoma with only 113k on it for $1700. 4.3l/700r4(or maybe a 4l60 not much difference) and gets 21mpg at 75mph with the AC on and will get 22 going back and forth to work. Saves me a lot more than I thought on gas.

Thanks for the kind words, Nathan.
As a kid, I actually wanted a '68 Fastback. But now that this one's in my life, I doubt I'll ever sell it.

I don't know how it is in Australia, but around here I still see vintage Mustangs all the time. In varying conditions and states of repair, obviously. Not even looking for them, and not including mine, there were 3 yesterday and one this morning driving around. Mostly hardtops.
Not as many FB's, but they're out there.

Speaking of necro-threading....
Let's fire this badboy up again!!
Here's my 99 Toyota 4-Runner:

My old 97 F-150 still kicking it. Has been a good truck. I bought it used, and have put 120,000+ miles on it, and have only had to change the alternator.

I not a Beckerhead it here is ours. Becker in the glovebox. Speaking of necrothreading. locked it down asap. And I'm staring at it thinking wtf happened. Then realized the blasted touch screen did me in. I hit Off topic and it selected How to. I'll catch crap for that I'm sure.

Pretty sure a mod locked it down.

Had a chance to own a 66 when I was 19 for 500 dollars. Had a hole in the floor board, back passenger seat lol. I remember staring out the hole while doing 60mps. And thinking my big 6'3“ 240lbs ass was going to make the hole give the rest if the way. Didn't get to drive it either.

My 1998 Ford Contour, Rusty. This has got to be the second least favorite car I've ever owned after my Geo Metro.

Got it last year after some drunk asshat totalled my Suzuki Sidekick. In retrospect I should have taken a lesser settlement and used the money to fix up the Suzuki. It at least had working ac and a stereo and wasn't rusting out right where my son gets into the car.

Maybe once the medical bills and poor credit situation is worked out I can get another small SUV or pickup. At least I have a vehicle.
