Sure, you can have other knives, the problem is you won't want them and they will be neglected because of your love for your Beckers!!

Get a BK14, go dress out a deer or some other small game, and you'll begin to understand.

I rotate in whatever knife makes sense, or interests me at the moment. Lately I've been on a Condor jag and I'm waiting for a 24'' Parang to come in. I also find myself appreciating the BK-14 more and more as time goes on. It's blade is big enough and tough enough to handle serious tasks, it's no fairy wand. But it is pancake flat and unobtrusive. I like to wear it in semi urban areas because no one sees it and I don't scare the crap out of joggers, dog walkers, whatever. I'm from the big knife school because I generally believe that if I'm packing one blade, it should double as a wood processor. I've never believed in those dainty bush craft pen knife deals. Even the Tweeners, as down sized as they are, are reasonably thick stock and look tough enough to save my odoriferous carcass in a pinch. At least two of the three. The third, mini mag camp, is still desirable for it's own unique attributes.

I'm sure that they'll be stuffing me into a bigger diaper in a decade or two. Just have to do some more bush whacking before then.:D
 
I like knives. I like my EsKabar for a lightweight EDC, my ESEE-4 for day hikes, my EnZo Trapper for those "special occasions", my BK-2 as a heavy duty survival knife, just as much as I like my 12" Imacasa and my Fiskars X10 for chopping/splitting tools and my Opinel #9 for outdoor food prep. I don't think any of these tools is the end-all, be-all for every possible situation. There's a time and place for each and every one of them.
