Beckerhead fun

Is it just me or do Beckerheads seem to have all the fun on these forums?

I just recently made an account here on blade forums back in January of 2012 when I first started really getting into knives. Ever since then I have noticed a patern emerge on the forums. I always see Beckerheads giving stuff to fellow Beckerheads, mailing prizes off and just generally being all around nice guys. In my experience here on the forums I have only run across a hand full of "jerkish" people but I must say none of those have been Beckerheads. It really is refreshing to see that there is still good people out there on the internet! One of the main reasons I always avoid YouTube is because of all the trolls and degenerates that are around every corner.

Back in December of 2011 I got a ESEE3 as a gift from my girlfriend for Christmas. It was a great little EDC knife but when it came to hard use it was just a little small for my taste. I ended up trading it off here on the forums (after being told by the girlfriend it was ok, of course) a while back for another knife which I later sold. I then had a little bit of spending cash for some new knives... after looking around I ended up buying a BK2 from Knifecenter. This was my knife that I would take out with my when I would go out for hikes, camping or when I knew I would be doing some hard cutting at work! The finish on the blade didn't hold up the best but I did not care about that, it really is a great knife! Shortly after that I ended up selling a few Spyderco knives off and got myself a brand new BK11 necker a my small EDC when I wasn't going to be doing much heavy work. Another great little knife! I have a couple of Chris Reeves, Spyderco, Benchmade and some other folders still but I always find myself going back to my fixed blades! There is just something about them I can't get enough of.

Once I meet all the forum requirments I will certainly be applying to become a Beckerhead!

Thanks,
Dylan

P.S. - Any suggestions on what my next BK knife should be? I really love the look of that BK3, but I'm not sold on it yet!

Welcome! Stay awhile, and listen!

Check out the BK-9. Decent chopper and all around-er. I'd take it over my 2 (*GASP*) any day (although my 2 is always in my car) if I had to choose 1 becker.

The new tweeners (Bk-15, 16,and 17) just came out, as well as a "new" machax. Ethan described the 16 as the knife he's always wanted. Although, what would he know, right? :D

Get a BK9 and a BK16 and you'll have the same as me. Perfect spread, IMO. Clich will be here shortly to tell you to get a BK5....Skystorm will suggest a BK4.

Then comes the sheaths...then the mods...

Get up! C'mon, Get down with the Sickness!

Good post, I'm with C_Tanner. The 9 and 16 are my next two Beckers. I have the 5, 2 and 14 and while they are all great, I can't wait to get a real chopper!

9 & 16 so you can fill in some of the spaces.

Thank you very much for all the welcomes!

I must say the more I look at the BK3 the more I really fall in love with it! The only thing I wish was a little different was that the blade was a full plain edge, then the top had large serrations all the way down the spine till the belt cutter! Adding those oversized serrations to the top should be real easy though!

I also really am diggin that clip point design on the BK17! The 17 might replace my BK2 as my heavy EDC work knife for a while..!

I also just now noticed ESEE and Ka-Bar did a BK14 that is basically the BK11 with a different handle and grip option! Really liking that as well! I still need to get that Micarta grip for my BK11, my paracord is pretty well worn.

Also, that last post wins contest really cracks me up! Now if I can just hurry and meet all the Beckerhead requirments, get accepted, find the mod who knows the lock date, pay him off, win the contest... and BOOM!

I just ordered my first Becker, the BK-9! Really looking forward to some Becker action. And yes it does seem that Beckerheads have all the fun.

I normally buy all my knives here on the forums or from KnifeCenter. Does anyone know of anyone here on the forums who sells Becker knives? I know a lot of people go to KershawGuy for Kershaws, is there a Becker guy who normally has some good deals?

thanks,
dylan

Crap, I wish I would have known there was someone I could order from off the forum. I love to support this community as much as possible. Maybe my next Becker...

No worries man, he's a new dealer. He probably won't issue infractions for you not buying from him until maybe your 3rd or 4th Ka-Bar /BK&T.

Welcome, and refer to Moose or Tomars for all your Becker addictions.

Edit: Tomars is one place, and Moose is not related by anything other than knives and forums as far as I know. Tomars is out of his website, and Moose is out of his sig.
