So I’ve been doing some searching in my little bit of free time while at work today, and question has arrises.

I have found that there is usually a Beckerhead gathering that Mr. Becker usually host.

My question is are there any local, regional or state oriented Beckerhead groups?

And are there any other gatherings or shows throughout the year that y’all like to attend?

Lastly I know I’m fairly new here just joined a little while ago but if there are any groups my name Bryan Glover and I’m from Halethorpe, MD.

There are some Beckerhead gatherings that are regional area things ... I don't know how many for sure or if there are smaller state get togethers ... but they are generally posted on the forum here enough ahead to give everyone a fair notice in case they want to go. Sadly with covid 19 they may be postponed as uncle E's was this year.

Welcome aboard Bryan ... most call me JJ ... you'll find a lot of good folks on here especially on the Becker subforum.

Since E moved to Montana, the chances of having an organized Beckerhead Gathering down in the Smokies isn't likely.
The NE gathering will probably happen in October if things aren't too crazy & there are minimal travel restrictions.
the NW gathering needs to find a new location -- their old one sold.
both Montana gatherings have been cancelled - Sept 2018 (weather) and May 2020 (duh...).
We've tried to have a middle of the country gathering 3 times - the only folks who showed were in Kansas & Missouri.

Cool thanks JJ. I was curious and I had searched for local state groups or “clubs”.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure if the states had Becker Clubs. I’m in about 3 Jeep clubs that have regular meet and greats.

Just a thought that’s all. Not trying to step on anyone’s toes. I was hoping the answer would be yes there’s a Maryland club

We're too spread out, but more power to you if you can get something going out your way.

It may be worth a shot, to gather for fellowship whether it’s for a weekend or just for a beer and a burger.

I still have to figure out where I stand and then apply to become a Beckerhead. I believe I’m close to eligibility.

All it really takes is someone wanting to have a get together and a place to do it. The place is always the hardest part. Half (or More) the folks who show up to our local gathering don't post on this forum, but they read our stuff once in a while. My point is they don't have a BH #. Doesn't matter.

If you decide to do one and have a place in mind, Just set the date and who ever shows up, shows up.

you seem like a good dude, I'd come your get together if I was closer.

Gotcha

I moved to the west coast two years ago from va. So many people think that all the states on the east coast are so close to each other when it seems so far from what is actual. Coming from va, anything north of new york is quite the journey. The drive to missouri seems better than the one to new york.

That wouldn’t be bad. I’m not far from BWI Airport and Baltimore, MD. I’m literally 2 miles to the Guinness Brewery that just opened last year.

If you like crab cakes, i recommend a restaurant named G&M in maryland. Anytime i had traveled to Maryland, i took a little detour

Where you at these days?
I do think that about the eastern states but I've been told "It's not the miles it's the time", I assume because of traffic.

So very true

yeah I’m about 5 minutes from there. There not to bad. Personally, like most local flavors most people prefer their own. My favorite crab cakes anywhere are my mother’s hands down. Fried in butter and in an iron skillet you can’t beat it.

But for an out of towner G&M are very good

Oh yeah Northern Virginia and DC traffic rivals NYC and LA, it’s like Rush hour never ends. Baltimore’s traffic can have its slow downs in morning and evening but nearly as bad as VA.
