Where you at these days?
I do think that about the eastern states but I've been told "It's not the miles it's the time", I assume because of traffic.

Yeah that a good way to put it. The more north you go, the more narrow it becomes, you start packing everyone into a tighter space. Not to mention , travelling in the coast is where the busy cities are like baltimore, dc, philadelphia, and them the obvious jersey and new york.

Now im in washington state, about 15 minutes away from tacoma. Biggest issue with driving around here is poor highway designs and the hills eat up your gas tank.

yeah I’m about 5 minutes from there. There not to bad. Personally, like most local flavors most people prefer their own. My favorite crab cakes anywhere are my mother’s hands down. Fried in butter and in an iron skillet you can’t beat it.

But for an out of towner G&M are very good

My dad actually makes a crab cake very similar to theirs. Pretty sure its just inspired by them. Most crab cakes you get anywhere else are more like crab patties. Almost like they were trying to make a hamburger out of crab. Places that have g&m style of crab cakes are few and far between in southern va but they do exist. I dont think they exist on the west coast at all.

Yeah I actually prefer them flatter with some LTM on a really good roll.

I think the reason there aren’t more gatherings is that people are nervous to host them. Hell you could meet at a state campground if need be. As long as there’s enough people in the area I don’t know five or six, it’ll be a good time. We’ve had over 20 And as few as 7-8 at The New England gatherings haven’t had a bad time yet.
