I drove close to 1000 miles to go camping with you and the best you can come up with is "it's too far to drive"?
at least come up with something good like "if John and Megan won't be ther to feed me, I'm not coming"
damn.
I've got a powerful hankerin' for hot, flaky biscuits covered in homemade apple butter now...
and chimicurri........

Campout was great -- sunny, 70 during the day, no fire ban, great scenery, and a pretty nice hiking trail.
It was a state park, so there was a shower house with hot water & flush toilets.
Friday night dinner was grilled chicken, Saturday was fried catfish and cherry pies & fritters. (not as good as the ones Kay made, but still tasty!)
Eskabar and Navy Mk 1 were my carry knives for the weekend -- and the Mk 1 did yeoman service carving a lid lifter and walking stick as well as prepping wood for fire making.
No pictures -- the camera was accidentally left behind.
