Post up your progress for MYB and BSP. GET FIT!

Scoring:

The idea is simple. Move your body. Get fitter.

Between the dates of (insert current month) 1 and (insert current month) 31, the challenge is to earn 50 Becker Points. Points can be earned in the following fashion:

1 mile (1.6 km) on foot = 1 Becker Point
3 miles (4.8 km) road cycling = 1 Becker Point
2 miles (3.2 km) mountain biking = 1 Becker Point
1 mile (1.6 km) swimming = 4 Becker Points

Yoga - 12 min = 1 Becker Point

If you just do one thing, you'll need to hoof it 50 miles, or road bike 150 , or mountain bike 100 miles, or swim 12.50 miles. You may combine items to build toward 50 Becker Points in any fashion you choose. Honor system in play.
This thread will be the place where people report in on their progress.

BSP:

200 light reps = 1 BSP
100 medium reps = 1 BSP
50 heavy reps = 1 BSP
30 very heavy reps = 1 BSP
300 heavy punching bag combos = 1BSP

Definitions:

Light rep: a rep that can be done 15+ times without resting. Most body weight exercises will fall into this category.
Medium rep: a rep that can be done up to 14 times, with reps 12-14 being challenging, and 15 near impossible without assistance.
Heavy rep: a rep that can be done 6 times, with reps 4-6 being very challenging, and 7 near impossible without assistance.
Very heavy: a rep that can be done twice, rep 3 impossible without assistance.
Heavy punching bag combos: a set of at least 2 moves (ex jab and straight, jab roundhouse kick, etc) done sequentially.

Light - 15+ reps
Medium - 7-14 reps
Heavy - 3-6 reps
Very Heavy - 1-2 reps

TBL- TY for carrying the fitness weight of the Becker forums on your shoulders XD. I've gone 1.5 weeks without moving my butt due to my foot being sprained, but I'm hopping back on the horse after this weekend and get some swimming in next week! :)

No problem Cap :)

I try to make it part of my routine. If I continue with the routine then it makes it easy! I just wish there was a magic energy pill or something that would give me energy! I find sometimes with trying to keep a consistent schedule working out and with the family, some days I just want to stay in bed lol.

Amen. I want this shirt:

I moved my butt over the weekend, hiked up to a hot springs with an official campground set up so less rugged than usual but more photogenic and a long walk away. We were going to hike a full 12 miles in, but ended up saving 5 of those by hitchhiking with a guy who had a lifted Astro van that was a kickass off-roader. Turns out he was part of the crew who we were camping with, so sorta great coincidence.

9 miles first day (1/2 mi x4 as the springs were farther up the mountain than the camp) and then 9 back as we took a great trail instead of the road.

BSP +2, finally got some working out in

Damn, King....I'll admit I'm a tad jelly. Seems like I'm only a viewer of the MYB thread these days...though I did earn a (several thousand steps, don't remember the #) t-shirt for steps at work (our phones track us as we run up and down stairs and walk through buildings, I guess). Still, doesn't seem like a workout in my reckoning. Haven't been on my bike for almost 3 weeks....sad. Seems like there is always an obligation or some other shit that has to get done.....though I have been shooting my bow regularly. Doesn't count even as BSP in my book. *Sigh*. I do wish I could figure out some kind of plan - but life is so variable that it seems almost impossible.

It happens, I was absent for a few months in a row due to similar problems

myb: +2.5 = 9.5
bsp: =5 - skipped out on legs today to spend some more time with the dog. We played tug-o-war for almost 30 min straight :D

myb: +2+1 = 12.5 - walking the dog at night yesterday
bsp: 5 - slept in yesterday morning. Getting a cold or something, just felt achy so I stayed in bed.

Its all good Mike, there are lots of things in life we would rather be doing (like working out or riding our bike) then the obligations at hand. Unfortunately as a responsible adult, we have to make the 'right' choice lol. Also, life BSP while we can't count it, does help our bodies ;) Yesterday I carried my youngest around in a laundry basket throwing him around and giving him a ride for about 30 min. Was sweating and my shoulders / arms/ back was burning after lol. Was a good workout... but couldn't score it.

MYB: 18+2+1=21
BSP: 2

Went out for a 6 mile paved trail ride with a friend who is not in the best of shape, and then walked a mile to get pizza instead of driving.

Myb: +2 = 14.5
Bsp: 5

myb: +3.5 = 18
bsp: +3 = 8 - pull ups, back extensions, some aerial's too. Mostly just doing various extensions and pullups on the bar.

Kinda like this

I want to eventually be able to do these:

I.....don't think there is any chance in hell that I will eventually do those.....

Finally got back on my bike after...oh, 22 days. Didn't kill too much. Surprised I managed 30 miles....left interior quad was threatening full on mutiny the last few miles. Still - nice to get out and not feel like such a slave to the grind. Unfortunately, tourist season is in full power and drivers are.....distracted by the scenery, I reckon. Though, some of the locals are driving like jerks, too. Kinda sad when a LOCAL guy looks you in the eye, then pulls into the rotary, forcing you to hit your brakes - on a bicycle. Luckily I'm a better bike handler than he was a judge of speed.

30 miles.
MYB: 10
BSP: been shooting my bow more days than not.

myb: 18 - will edit later after taking the dog out tonight.
bsp: +3 = 11 - pushups situps and dips!

myb: +3.5+2.5=24 - jogging with the doggie
bsp: 11 - I should be doing a leg workout. With all the running I'm doing I'm giving them a break. I don't want to aggravate my knees.
