Post up your progress for MYB and BSP. GET FIT!

Scoring:

The idea is simple. Move your body. Get fitter.

Between the dates of (insert current month) 1 and (insert current month) 31, the challenge is to earn 50 Becker Points. Points can be earned in the following fashion:

1 mile (1.6 km) on foot = 1 Becker Point
3 miles (4.8 km) road cycling = 1 Becker Point
2 miles (3.2 km) mountain biking & inline skating = 1 Becker Point
1 mile (1.6 km) swimming = 4 Becker Points
Yoga - 12 min = 1 Becker Point

If you just do one thing, you'll need to hoof it 50 miles, or road bike 150 , or mountain bike 100 miles, or swim 12.50 miles. You may combine items to build toward 50 Becker Points in any fashion you choose. Honor system in play.
This thread will be the place where people report in on their progress.

BSP:

200 light reps = 1 BSP
100 medium reps = 1 BSP

Welcome to the new month everybody! I'll be starting off a little slow this month. I don't get cleared to exercise again until Wednesday (hopefully). I should be able to get a few dog walks in before then!

Good luck all!

myb: +3+6 = 9 - walks with the dog (and some pokemon)
bsp: 0 - still waiting to get cleared for activity ;)

Monday 45 minutes of crossfit light/yoga: 3bp
Today 90 swimming laps in one hour =2.25km in miles and times 4 that makes 5.6bp

First couple of days in october: 8.6bp

myb: +3+6 = 9 - walks with the dog (and some pokemon)
bsp: 0 - still waiting to get cleared for activity ;)

myb: +2+3.5 = 14.5
bsp: 3 = got cleared yesterday! today pullups, back extensions, and planks!

Meh, only 40 laps today. Didn't go well. The place was way too crowded so it didn't advance at all. Added 2.5bps today so I'm at 11.1bp

myb: +2+3.5 = 14.5
bsp: 3 = got cleared yesterday! today pullups, back extensions, and planks!

myb: +2.5 = 17
bsp: +1 = 4 - ran out of time today. Knocked out 200 pushups before my shower.

Since I missed most of the last two weeks helping my family pack up to move to St. Louis and get the house ready to sell, I didn't really do much for exercise. But, I managed to fit in some this weekend which is nice.

Friday I went on a 15-mile mtn bike ride at my favorite trail that I get to ride once a year (it's 3 hours from home) so that's 7.5 points right there.

Saturday I helped with some hand-pressing of apple cider as part of the youth rally I chaperone at every year (also the excuse to go mtn biking over on the east side of the mountains), I purposely volunteered to pour the juice that was pressed out of the apples into a strainer so I could get some BSP points, lifted a total of 200 gallons of cider up past should height and held it there for about 10 seconds pouring it out. Spread over about 4 hours was about 200 light repetitions and since i had to step up every time that was also 200 medium repetitions due to stair-stepping with a load. Anyway, total of 3 BSPs for that.

So:

MYB 7.5
BSP 3

Went for a road ride yesterday from home to an apple orchard 24 miles away where I met my family (I drove home).

MYB: 8 BP to start off.

myb: +2.5+2 = 21.5
myb: 4

myb: +3 = 24.5
bsp: +2 = 6 - pullups and extensions

For some reason I lost my motivation this morning :( finished my workout but wasn't in the mood. I need to find it again quick!!!!

myb: +3 = 27.5
bsp: +1 - pushups

I need to stop playing pokemon while I run. While making it more entertaining, its holding me back a bit and taking up too much of my time lol.

I'm sorry it's such an echo chamber in here, T.

Road ride yesterday, 33 miles....staved off the temptation to stop and have a post ride calorie bomb - too much stuff to do (and limited time before winter's here) - to be sitting around relaxing. Too bad, because their specialty iced kaffees are the bomb.

Actually got motivated for a run to night - I try to squeeze in at least 1 in every month.....that would be funny if it weren't true.

(barely)MYB: 11+2.3+8=21.3

myb: +7 = 36.5 - dog walk yesterday and run this morning
bsp: 10

myb: +2 = 38.5
bsp: +3 = 10 - pullups extension and planks!

No worries Mike :) It really helps keep me motivated and on a routine. There are many days that I get up and want to say f*** it, but the little things just keep me going. I look at where I was a year ago when I started doing this again, and see where I am now and I'm happy. I've made some progress  I don't want to lose it :) When we started I was in the 220's I weighed in the other day at 187lbs. I've started taking a few progress pictures at the advice of some of the stuff I've been reading. It's nice to go back and look and see a little more tone and definition, its a real confidence booster. My greatest struggle is with my diet lol. I love to eat!!! Portion control sucks, eating rabbit food sucks, staying away from bread sucks (because toasted with butter its amazing!) At the end of it all the health benefits are pretty significant. I need to stay around as long as I can for my family. The only thing I need to do now is get past this week. On Thursday I get to go for a not so fun cystoscopy to hopefully find out why I've been bleeding out of my right kidney. Fingers crossed its only an unpleasant procedure and they don't find anything! I haven't seen or notice any blood in the past week . As soon as we get past this all, next month comes soon and I can put it on heavy again! I'm not looking forward to the coming winter. I've really started to appreciate the whole running outside thing. Adding layers and cold just doesn't seem fun, but the dog still needs her exercise lol. I should get a second treadmill and train her to run on it lol.
