Beckerhead TN Gathering Fall 2014

Give it a couple days, most of us are still trying to shake the feeling we're not really back to living in a nightmare. I uploaded the pix from my phone into photobucket today. I haven't added my camera ones yet. Trust me, I didn't really take that many to begin with.

Yes it is... and I think that tree used for the chopping contests was some kind of rare granite-maple with a steel rebar down the middle of it.

As we were waiting our turn to chop, I mentioned to Guyon, "Man, that looks rough... too bad I left my folding saw back at camp." He got that mischievous grin on his face and replied, "I have mine close by ;)" So when he was called up, he casually handed his 9 to Ethan, pulled his folding saw out of his back pocket and calmly went to work sawing instead of chopping, like it was the most natural thing in the world.

Ethan disqualified that approach and made him start over with a knife like everyone else :D :D

Weight, balance point, nimbleness, overall Badassedness!!!! You know, the usual.
 
Cool!! All I have to do is not tell my wife about my Christmas bonus and make sure the boss doesn't direct deposit that check. If that doesn't work, I'll have to sell off some gear or plasma or whatever.:thumbup:
 
So, did everyone at the gathering make a pact upon leaving that nobody would post photos, haha?
