Alrighty folks, I declare it time to start figuring out who what when where on this gathering this spring. Many people have mentioned the same location, I'd like to verify that fire will be okay. Also, I'd like to start talking dates, I know vacation time for some of us has to be put in early.

So... Whatchall think?

Also, what would you like the gathering to include as far as contests and activities and such?

I have a feeling that we're gonna have to do some more hawk throwing, fire building, and chopping (maybe). Lets figure out some more contests out for this next one!! Bring on the ideas people!!

I was think any one of the following some people would enjoy.

Improvised Bucksaws
Burnt in bowls
Bow drill fires
Mingo could do another plant walk but gather and prep foods as a group this time since it will be spring
Super shelter construction
...etc.

Ill come up with more idea... Those were just on the top of my head from the last one.

I'm glad you got this going, I was thinking middle to late april, 3rd or 4th week ish. I'll do the fire contest again unless someone really wants to do it. I've got ideas. Lets get this right out in front, If yer gonna drink, no carrying of firearms. I'll get ahold of logan soon and make sure we're good to go for that same locale.

I'm all in for campout, got some new gear I want to field test, Plus running around through the woods with a bunch of other crazy knife packing people always sounds exciting.
