The point has never been a problem for me; it actually helps me retain the blade while swinging hard.Looks Beautiful!!!
But does it actually FEEL different.... it's been so long, but I remember that point biting me?
Really nice looking combo you have.....
I always believed My version was the Best..... but Yours definitely LOOKS the Best! Good job, Love the strips!!!
Just like the old Tigershark Design ... Edit , its not AUS-6 like many pretend ?And not to be forgotten is my SOG Tigershark- it's 9 inch AUS 8 blade does an acceptable job as a chopper as well, though not in the same league as the others.

It’s a great chopper. The best price I’ve ever seen for them is during KA-BAR’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, they went for in the $40 range. Over the past two holiday seasons, I’ve bought six and have given five away as gifts. I wish I bought more. This thread makes me need a parangatang! Anyone have a spare for sale?
Good to know! I don’t think i can wait all the way until November though...It’s a great chopper. Look at it this way. You can wait for November to get your Backup #2 Parangatang maybe even #3 you know the Backup-Backup, So buy one now and a couple more when they are on sale and just look at all the money you have saved!!!Good to know! Very impressive work! Looks ferocious!View attachment 1275765 This is one I made about a month ago. I decided I needed a new monster Bowie and this is the result. 18.25 inches overall, 1/4 inch 5160 with black G10. It’s big, it’s heavy and it chops like a demon

I have one of those with a cracked scale and a bent tip - picked it up as a farm auction years ago and never got around to cleaning it up and making a sheath.
OTOH, buddy of mine had several trees cut down Friday and I was over there yesterday afternoon limbing them with my parangatang. (it lives in the truck)
his son saw how deep it hit and had to give it a try -- he may be ordering one of his own soon.
if the trees are still there this coming weekend, I'll head back over with my BK21, Skrama, and M18.

You know your Kuks vik. It's definitely all about the snap. The Patrol sounds like a willow switch right before it hits.I absolutely love the sound the tip makes when you add that last bit of snap to the swing right before it hits the wood.
whick-thump!
